CRUFTS 2012 - A DREAM COME TRUE

Ettinsmoor Treasure (Spice) took 1st Place in the Gamekeepers Ring Labrador Retriever Bitch Class at Crufts owned and bred by myself. She came 2nd last year and 1st this year. What a star she is? See the Crufts 2012 Page for photographs.

Ettinsmoor Labradors is a small hobby kennel of Fox Red Working Labradors near Kings Lynn in Norfolk owned by me, Jill Parsons and run by me on my retirement. My passion is Fox Red Labradors with working ability, good health, fantastic temperaments and good conformation. In 2011 I achieved something that I have been working towards when getting placed 2nd with Ettinsmoor Treasure (Spice) in the Gamekeepers Ring at Crufts and then in 2012 Spice achieved the ultimate 1st place in the Gamekeepers Ring. Only second generation Ettinsmoor bred and achieving an award at Crufts with a Working Labrador, not an easy task in the UK.  I am not a commercial breeder. My dogs are my hobby and luckily I have been able to take early retirement and dedicate my time to my dogs. I am also a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeders Scheme.

The dogs I own and breed are Working Labradors which work as picking up dogs on several local shoots and compete in Field Trials throughout the shooting season and Gundog Working Tests during the summer months. However, as well as working my dogs are also my pets and whilst I do have kennels which are used occasionally, they live mainly in the house. 

I have owned Labradors for 13 years and before that had Weimaraners who were shown, competed in Working Trials and also worked on the shoot. I have owned dogs for the whole of my adult life and wouldn't be without them.
